We are able to offer a relaxing getaway at either a log cabin or a hotel depending on your individual preference.
Once you make initial contact, we will be able to tailor your experience to your requirements and emotions. If you want to eat in your room, no problem. If you don’t want to speak to anyone, no problem. If you want to bring your pet for extra comfort, no problem!

Our log cabin location is Deerpark, Cornwall which is located between Looe and Liskeard approximately 30-40 minutes from Plymouth. It is totally secluded and all lodges overlook the lake, perfect for beautiful views from the hot tub.
We book a 3 night self catering getaway which is from Friday (check in 4pm) to Monday (check out 10am) but you can always leave earlier if you have work commitments on the Monday. If you are unable to drive we can also offer a taxi in some circumstances.
Every booking comes with flexible amendment protection, this means we can amend the date of your stay without losing any money up to 3 weeks prior to your arrival date. We understand that grief is very up and down which is why we always do our best to remain as flexible as possible. Please let us know if you can’t make it prior to 3 weeks before your check in date so we can rearrange it for a later date with no questions asked.
The cabins are either 2 or 3 bedrooms so there is plenty of space, please let us know at the time of booking so we can check the availability for both. You can ‘getaway’ as a couple, with your children, as a family or with a friend for support, the choice is entirely yours. If you are bringing children/siblings, please let us know so we can ensure the necessary baby and toddler equipment is prepared for you if required.
Dogs are welcome but please let us know so we can ensure we book a pet friendly lodge. There are always a very limited number of pet friendly lodges so we will try our best to accommodate your furry family members.
We always add on a complimentary WiFi, movies and Sky bundle package for you to enjoy. You can hibernate and watch films until your heart is content.
We provide a complimentary welcome food hamper which is delivered for your arrival containing the basics. You can order on site food delivery options directly to your cabin to save time and effort cooking. When ordering, try and order as early as possible to avoid delays. The cut off time is normally 30 minutes prior to the closing time.
Every cabin has a hot tub for you to relax and enjoy along with a log burner for those rainy afternoons and lazy Summer evenings. Immerse yourself in nature by strolling around the lake and exploring different nature trails
Once your booking is confirmed and emailed to you, you will be able to call Forest Holidays and add on any activities or treatments you would like. From in cabin massages to bike hire, just give them a ring, quote your reference number and book your activity (you will need to pay for these).
Enjoy the pleasure of being surrounded by nature and seeing lots of wildlife. They aren’t shy so be prepared for squirrels, and robins on your decking and ducks swimming by.
We are always sorry we have to ask but please do not be alarmed when we ask for evidence of your baby. We must ask all families as we legally have to have an audit trail of our bookings for the Charity Commission to prove we are using the charity’s money for the correct and lawful purpose.
The getaway can be accessed immediately, from leaving the hospital prior to returning home, waiting until after your baby's funeral or commemorating their due date, we always hope that having this positive experience to look forward to can help you get through the hard days and offer a glimmer of hope.

Deerpark, Cornwall
Our hotel location is Scarlet Hotel, Cornwall which is located in Mawgan Porth, approximately 1 hour from Plymouth. In some circumstances for those who do not drive, we are able to offer a taxi service.
This hotel is the epitome of relaxation and tranquillity. With all rooms overlooking the beautiful beaches and coastline you can be sure to doze off to the views of the sea and sound of the waves.
We book a 2 night stay in this 4.5 star hotel for you to enjoy with your partner or with a friend. This hotel is adults only.
Check in is from 4pm and check out is at 11am. You are welcome to arrive anytime on the day of your arrival to begin your Scarlet experience.
Breakfast and dinner is included during your stay along with full use of the spa facilities. We include a 30 minute cliff top hot tub experience which you can request at anytime during your stay, morning, noon or evening around your dinner reservation, just let us know your preference.
The stay can be booked at anytime, whether this is during the week or over the weekend depending on their availability. As it is an adults only hotel it is great for those who need to be away from babies and children. It is always worth noting that there could potentially be pregnant people around.
This is the perfect place to ‘getaway’ if you just want to escape and be waited on. No cooking, making a drink or lifting a finger. All of the rooms are modern with an open plan bathroom. Each of them with a balcony which overlooks breathtaking sea views.
The spa facilities consist of an indoor heated pool, an outdoor plunge pool, cliff top sauna’s and hot tubs, relaxing loungers and cosy corners. You will be given robes, towels and slippers for extra comfort.
We will always ask for any dietary requirements, the preferable times for your evening meals and preferable time for your hot tub experience.
We pay for the full balance of your stay. All you will need to pay for are drinks and any lunches. You can eat at the hotel or take a stroll to the beach. There are seafront shops with pasties. sandwiches, cafe's and other lunch options available. Breakfast is homemade and freshly prepared. As there is so much choice you may only need something light for lunch to keep you going before your dinner reservation.
We will send you some simple questions to gather your details in order to make the booking on your behalf. If you ever require anything else please let us know.
